Epsom and Ewell is well served by public transport.

Frequent train services run to London Waterloo and to London Victoria. There are also peak- hour trains to London Bridge. In the other direction, there are services to Leatherhead, Dorking and Horsham (with connections to the South Coast), and to Guildford (with connections to Portsmouth and Southampton).

Trains to Waterloo run via Wimbledon at 3, 18, 33 and 48 minutes past the hour. The trains at 3 and 33 minutes past run non-stop to Wimbledon and take 22 minutes to reach Waterloo. Trains from Waterloo to Epsom run at 1, 16, 31, and 46 minutes past the hour; the trains at 16 and 46 minutes past run non-stop from Wimbledon. There are more trains during the morning and evening peak hours. On this line, there are also stations at Ewell West and at Stoneleigh within the borough. This service is operated by South West Trains

Trains to Victoria via Sutton depart epsom at 6, 13,20, 43, 50 minutes past the hour from 09.43 to 16.51 Monday to Friday and take between 30 and 50 minutes to Victoria. The return times are 3, 20, 33 and 50 minutes past the hour. This service is operated by Connex South Central.

There are also stations at Epsom Downs and at Tattenham Corner (both just outside the borough border)
