Carers of Epsom
support informal carers in the community in Epsom, Ewell and Banstead. They run local support groups for carers of people young and old with a disability, terminal illness or those unable to look after themselves due to old age. There are 2 carer support workers who visit carers at home and are able to offer information and advice related to caring. The service is confidential, independent and free. A monthly newsletter is sent to all carers on the mailing list. For more information tel: 01372 722269.

THE CUDDINGTON PLAYERS The Cuddington Players are a local amateur dramatic and musical group who perform 2-3 productions a year at the Adrian Mann Theatre, NESCOT, Ewell. We meet at the Banstead & Nork Community Centre, Nork Way, Nork, Banstead on Sunday evenings. Ebbisham Sports Club Ebbisham Sports Club - on its present site since 1937, has 3 courts for each section - badminton, squash and tennis. All standards and ages are welcome. The large and comfortable lounge bar serves real ale, wine, spirits and soft drinks as well as a variety of food. Wide screen satellite TV shows major sporting events and there is a pool table, video and fruit machines. Club facilities also include changing rooms with hot showers. All members enjoy full access to Ebbisham's social facilities, during the year each section arranges a variety of special and social events.

Our running club is run by women for women for all standards of running with approx 130 members from the Epsom area.

Epsom Open Award Centre
We are based in Lintons Lane, is a Centre from which Duke of Edinburgh's Award participants can be trained in and taken on the expedition section of the Award at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. For Bronzes the expeditions are all around the Dorking area over a weekend, while the Golds are taken to Wales or the Lake District for a week. Epsom Players
'Epsom Players is one of the leading amateur theatrical groups in the area. We perform 3-4 shows a year at the Epsom Playhouse, most recently our highly acclaimed production of the musical version of Some Like It Hot. Forthcoming productions include a 'scratch' version of Gilbert & Sullivan's The Mikado and the West End musical She Loves Me. We rehearse in Epsom and whether singers, dancers actors or backstage hands we always welcome new members. Epsom & Ewell Philatelic Society We meet on alternate Mondays at Church House, Church Street, Epsom. There is an interesting and varied programme of talks by experts and fellow collectors on all aspects of philately, accompanied by displays. Additionally, we also hold a number of annual competitions. For the sale and purchase of material, we have a series of joint auctions with other societies in the area and there is an active packet circulation list. Epsom Protection SocietyThe society was founded in 1959 and is affiliated to the Civic Trust. Its aims are to conserve and enhance Epsom as a pleasant place to live, work and visit, to protect its distinctinve historical and architectural features, its trees and open spaces, the Downs and its adjacent Green Belt, and to promote harmonious and good quality developement. It publishes four Newsletters each year. Membership currently stands around 1,750. During the year The Society arrange visits to places of Astronomical interest and also social events. Weather permitting during the winter months October to March, a monthly viewing evening is held on Headley Heath's main car park when telescopes and binoculars are provided by the society and members of the society. Friends of Nonsuch
The Friends of Nonsuch were formed in 1991 to fight for the preservation of Nonsuch Park as an open space, and to help conserve the Mansion. Education and Events Committees organize fund-raising activities, walks, talks, musical entertainments, and other social events. Service wing museum, open on Bank Holidays and 2nd and 4th Sundays from June to October, 2-5 pm. Weekday groups welcomed. Membership forms and further information is available from Joyce Shaw, Hon. Line Dancing Club
A Line Dancing club meets every Tuesday during term times at the Woodcote Restaurant, WS Atkins, Woodcote Grove, Ashley Road, Epsom, Surrey KT18 5BW from 7:30 to 9:00pm. The club is a part of the WS Atkins Sports and Social Club facility and would welcome new members. It has been in existence for over 3 years and Di Warden (from the Big Breakfast show) is the tutor. Nonsuch Antiquarian Society
The Society was founded in 1958 by a group of people who had taken part in the excavation of Nonsuch Palace. Its aims are to encourage an interest in archaeology and local history, to investigate, record and publish information about such matters, and to use its influence to achieve the preservation of objects of archaeological and historical importance. The area of activity comprises Epsom and Ewell, and also Sutton, Cheam and Banstead. Meetings are held, normally on the first Wednesday of each month, at St Mary's Church Hall, London Road, Ewell (opposite the Church|) with speakers on some historical or archaeological subject.We welcome visitors at our meeting. The Orbit Club of Nonsuch Orbit is a network of service clubs throughout the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for people of all ages from mid twenties upwards. Rotaract Club of Ewell Rotaract is an international organisation, with over 500 Clubs in Great Britain and Ireland. We are a club for men and women aged 18-30. The Rotaract Club of Ewell meets twice a month in Stoneleigh. We are one of a District of 20 clubs, and we organise our own social events and participate in fund-raising and community projects in the local area. St. Clement's Players St. Clement's is a Drama Group which meets at St. Clement's Church Hall, Kingston Road, Ewell, every Wednesday evening. Two plays a year are produced, one at the end of October and one shortly after Easter, for three nights each. Scorpions Muay Thai Boxing Club Scorpions Instructor, Mark Wakeling, teaches this exposive art in Epsom and Carshalton. For fitness and self defence, Thai Boxing or 'Muay Thai' is the ultimate martial art.
